Please inquire about session fees. Ms. Springer is not part of insurance networks however PPO insurance can be billed and reimbursed to clients, depending on the plan detail.

Tamar Springer has 25 years of experience in providing individual, couple and family counseling, with a focus on helping clients manage anxiety brought on by life transitions such as considering marriage, becoming a parent, changes in family structure, separation, divorce, milestone birthdays and life events, loss, identity and other challenges.                                       

                                                                                                                  Ms. Springer provides counseling and consultation for adults and adolescents in various life stages with concerns including: managing anxiety, understanding and regulating complex emotions; getting through transitions; dealing with grief, loss and change; understanding how the past impacts the present; improving communication and conflict management strategies, increasing self-awareness and solution-focused work in therapy.                                                                                                                    For the New Parent:                                                                           Ms. Springer had a special interest in helping new moms and dads through anxiety during pregnancy, emotional, mental and physical adjustments following birth, relationship changes with spouse/partner, identity transformation and self-image, sibling adjustments and jealousy, post-partum mood disorders, and sexuality after baby, and other common challenges for new parents.                                                                                 

Tamar graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1989 with a B.A. in psychology and also in 1991 with a Masters Degree in Social Welfare. Tamar has lectured extensively for laypersons and professionals for community and professional organizations. Tamar is an approved provider of parent education and counseling by the Los Angeles Superior Court, Family Court Services.
